Headline : Are you listening to bots? Survey shows AI music is virtually undetectable

A new Deezer-Ipsos survey asked 9000 people across eight countries to distinguish between AI-generated and human-composed songs. An astonishing 97% failed to tell them apart , and 71% were surprised by their inability.
The report notes that more than 50000 fully AI-generated tracks are uploaded to Deezer every day, accounting for roughly one-third of new submissions . Deezer has responded by tagging AI-generated music and excluding fake streams from royalty payments.
