5 Cups of Self-Care
Five little cups sit quiet in a row,
Each one whispers, “Fill me, let me glow.”
The first is Physical, solid and true,
With water, rest, and movement too.
It carries your strength, your skin, your pace,
A tired body needs gentle grace.
The second is Emotional, tender and deep,
It holds your joy, your fears, your sleep.
Let laughter out, let teardrops fall,
Speak your truth, feel it all.
Bottled-up feelings start to ache,
So give this cup a little shake.
Next comes Mental, curious and bright,
It craves new knowledge, craves the light.
A puzzle, a book, a mindful pause,
A little stillness just because.
Let your thoughts stretch, dance, and roam,
Then bring them softly back home.
Fourth is Spiritual, quiet and wide,
It walks with the stars, the moon as a guide.
Not tied to rules, but open skies,
In silence, wonder starts to rise.
A breath, a prayer, a grateful view,
A feeling that you’re part of something true.
And last, dear Social, the warmest of all,
It echoes in laughter, texts, and calls.
It thrives in hugs, in being seen,
In building bonds that feel serene.
Say no when needed, yes to care,
Let others know you’re really there.
So check your cups, don’t let them dry,
Pour a little love as life rolls by.
Not all at once, and not too fast,
Just enough to make the goodness last.
